Legalizing Abortion Was Not Responsible For Reducing Abortion Related Deaths.

• According to data from the National Center for Health Statistics, the legalization of abortion was not responsible for reducing abortion-related deaths. The discovery of antibiotics in the early 1940s did that by providing a treatment for infection.

• In 1972, the year before the U.S. Supreme Court legalized abortion, only 39 women died from abortion related complications. In 1977, after abortion was legal for 5 years, 21 women died.

• Dr. Bernard Nathanson, co-founder of NARAL (National Abortion Rights Action League), admits his group lied about the number of women who died from illegal abortion when testifying before the U.S. Supreme Court in 1972: "We spoke of ‘5,000-10,000 deaths a year.’ I confess that I knew the figures where totally false… it was a useful figure, widely accepted, so why go out of our way to correct it with honest statistics?"

Child Abuse Has Increased Over 600% Since Abortion’s Legalization in 1973.

• Legalizing abortion was supposed to help reduce child abuse, since it was assumed most abused children were unwanted at birth. But this theory has been disproved by scientific studies as well as by the obvious evidence that child abuse has sharply increased since abortion became legal.
